My weekend

Well, I ´ve had some great times this weeknd.
Yesterday (on Saturday) I was in the cinema to see new and the very last part of Twilight saga. Some people may think I am one of those stupid little girlies after my confession, but truth be told I loved it. It was funny, cheeky and some heads were ripped off  :) Great, right?! :)

The thing about Twilight saga and me is that I don´t even like the main characters. This may sound contradictory to my previous statement, but it´s true. I hate Bella, I find her stupid and way too hooked on Edward - I mean, what kind of a girl after she is dumped by her boyfriend goes to woods to lay there motionless and be saved by her father. It takes just a little brain to not be that stupid I think. And then there is Edward. When I first read the books, there weren´t the films out yet, so I expected some very good looking guy to act that role. Maybe it´s just me, but I really don´t find him atractive. And he spoiled my idea of great looking vampire + this sparkly thing abut vampires is quite weird, but there I should probaby blame the author. The third one is Jacob. I don´t like him either. At least he is better looking (thanks for that), but probably just the fact that he wants to get Bella on big muscles and a bike, seems a bit showing off to me.

Twilight lovers will hate me for that, but that´s how I see it. And still, the movie was cool. I had lot of fun. and at least there is one character that I like - Emmett :)

After the movie we were at a local pizza place. I had a very nice evening with my sister and my potential brother in law.

Today I have been doing my best to avoid the moment when I would need to start my homework. I cooked a nice meal, I cleaned a huge pile of dishes, I had a lovely skype chat with my bestie, who is studying in Berlin ATM. We promised to talk soon again, so I hope we will get to that.

Then I started with my translation. I don´t think I mentioned it before, but I´m studying translation and interpretating English language and culture combined with my mother tongue Slovak language and literature. So, I did this translation of a magazine article. It wouldn´t be that bad if my lecturer wouldn´t be a pain in the ass (sorry for my language). Therefore, with every translated sentence I heard his voice saying: "How could you ranslate it like that?! Horrible!" Well, you get the idea. I´ve gotten used to ignore him most of the time, but sometimes I don´t have enough strenght. The nicest (and I think the only) comment I got from him was: "You think, I like that." When we were talking about something maths connected (I always liked maths and I still do - I am a complete weirdo now :) )

But at least I finished that translation, so now I only need to do zillion other things for this week. I am already freaking out because of the test we are having on Wednesday. I need to do better than in the last one, or I will be in trouble and even more stress. Please, keep your fingers crossed :)

It´s like half past two (in the night) I should probably go to bed. Too much studying waiting for me tomorrow...

My little Olly :)

It was few days ago that my friend told me: "It´s not normal that you haven´t named you laptop yet!"

Well, I´ve got my new laptop for almost two months already and I haven´t done so, but I didn´t actually know that I should. I know that people name their cars, for example my sister´s car is Sugar (though I´ve tried to persuade her to name it with a male name, because there is this theory that guys name their cars with girly names and vice versa, but as you can guess I wasn´t successful), but I had no idea I am supposed to name my laptop. I haven´t named my mobile phone either! I think, I need to ask my friend whether I should name that too. :)

Anyway, this conversation got me thinking and I´ve decided to pick a name for my new lovely laptop. So, drumroll please.... And the name is....Olly :D You could guess it by the name of this post, so letting you wait wasn´t that clever of me :) I already have one Olly or rather Oli in my life, it´s my precious puggy :) But there is another Olly that I love and that´s Olly Murs. So I was inspired to combine those to and came up with this not so original but otherwise nice name for my gadget.

So from now on it´s not just any ASUS, it´s Olly :D

Oh, my head...

It´s already been almost 5 hours that I am sitting with my laptom in the kitchen trying to write this very improtant literature essay. I am almost done, but there is one probem - we are suppposed to write at least 10 pages and I´ve written 9 and I am out of ideas. It´s like a horror came true.
So now I am, basically, prolonging it by saying the same stuff over and over again and feel quite stupid. I hope I´ll come up with something very soon, otherwise I´ll just have to hand it like it is - bye bye my lovely A....
I am nerdy, I know :D But my ultimate goal is to be able to talk like Sheldon Cooper (in my case in literature instead of physics) and actually understand myself :D

Chills and balls :)

I just came from the last football match of autumn part of the season. We played well ( by "we" I mean the team I am fan of), and maybe "well" is too much - we played quite sh***y, but the weather was horrible and the host village was overmotivated. Anyway, we lost 3:0, but we should still be the first in the table.
But I was having fun. I loooove football :) I haven´t played for ages so I try at least to watch as many matches as possible. Needles to say, the football players are way too hot :)

Movie on a saturday afternoon

I just finished watching Brave :) what a loooovely story
Cried a little, laughed a lot :)
I am now thinking of watching Tangled again :)

Laziness in my veins

When it comes to work, it always ends up the same. These days I have so much uni work to do I am going nuts. Tousands of papers to write, hundreds of presentations to prepare, books to read... Well, I might be exaggerating a bit :), but you´ve got the idea. However, the thing that bothers me the most is the fact that I would possibly manage to do it all and not stress that much if I weren´t so lazy. My biggest problem is to start with all of it. Just a couple of minutes ago, I opened a new Word document thinking I should problably start writing this essay on literature (which is due to Wednesday morning) and realised I can´t come up with an opening line. So I was staring at my laptop and hoping it will write itself. Needless to say, the megic didn´t heppen.
(Pointlessly) angry, I´ve closed the document, opened a jar of Nutella and now I am thinking of how much pressure does it take to make me do my stuff properly. I thing I shall wait till Tuesday afternoon to find out :) By then I will be stressed enough to curse again on my laziness.

Hello, hello, hello :)

I´ve decided to start a new blog where I am going to freely talk about everything and anything that´s on my mind. Sometimes it will be fun, other times I might be a bit harsh and angry. Basically, I will write about all the things that will move me at a certain time. So hopefully, you won´t be mad at me for my post and let me express myself. Feel free to comment or write me an e-mail (WeronicaG@gmail.com). P.s. the name of the blog speaks for itself - I am a HUGE fan of HP :)
